Antrel Rolle: We have to get our heads out of our a–es
The New York Giants dropped to 0-5 on the season after losing at home to the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday 36-21. Quarterback Eli Manning threw away the game with turnovers on three straight possessions in the fourth quarter. It was a disaster.
Defensive back Antrel Rolle, who said during the week that he believed the Giants could turn around their season and win 12 games in a row, spoke bluntly after the game.
“We’ve got to get our heads out of our asses,” Rolle said, per Ralph Vacchiano of the New York Daily News.
Vacchiano also says team owner John Mara was looking furious in the locker room following the game and had no comment.
I’m actually surprised by this. The Giants sure seemed like a mess in their 38-0 loss to Carolina and 31-7 defeat at Kansas City, but I thought they’d turn it around at home this weekend and get their first win of the season. I was wrong. And what the heck happened to Eli? I thought you couldn’t spell Elite without him?
