Report: Bills have interest in signing Frank Gore
The Buffalo Bills apparently do not believe that turning 30 is a death sentence for an NFL running back.
With a backfield that already features soon-to-be 30-year-old LeSean McCoy, the Bills reportedly have interest in signing 35-year-old Frank Gore this offseason.
Sometimes in covering free agency you hear something and you want to see it happen just because. The #Bills’ interest in Frank Gore is one of those. Imagine Gore and LeSean McCoy in the same backfield, defying time. We’ll see. pic.twitter.com/NvNKxqgEL6

Gore saw his incredible streak of 122 consecutive games played come to an end last season when he suffered an ankle injury with the Miami Dolphins, but there were no long-term concerns associated with the injury. He was still fairly productive in 2018, rushing for 722 yards on 156 carries. Gore’s 4.6 yards per carry were his highest mark since 2012.
It’s remarkable that teams are still interested in a running back who will be 36 when the 2019 season begins, but Gore has proven he can still be an effective player.
