Brennan Clay arrested for allegedly beating up wife Gina D’Agostini

Former Oklahoma running back Brennan Clay was arrested last month for allegedly beating his wife Gina D’Agostini.

You may recall that Clay caught D’Agostini sending inappropriate text messages (read them here) to Dallas Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray and accused them of having an affair. Clay aired all the dirty laundry over social media, supposedly filed for divorce, and then backpedaled and apologized. Well a month after his apology, not all was going well, because he reportedly went to beat up D’Agostini last month.

TMZ reported early Tuesday that back on Jan. 27, Clay was arrested in Dallas County, Texas, for allegedly barging into D’Agostini’s home, kicking down the door, dragging her out and brutalizing her.

According to the police report, obtained by TMZ Sports, Gina claimed Clay threw her on the kitchen counter, dragged her downstairs, dragged her through shrubbery and then began to choke her.

Gina says he brought her back into the house and “began punching and throwing her around the residence.”

D’Agostini eventually was able to call police who saw her leg bleeding with cuts. The later found Clay in an alley where they arrested him.

D’Agostini was described in the story as Clay’s estranged wife, so we would not be surprised if they officially divorced. It would probably be for the best.
