One Denver Broncos star definitely had a roller coaster of a day with all of the developments to emerge on the quarterback front.

Earlier in the day Tuesday, the news broke that Aaron Rodgers had decided to return to the Green Bay Packers on a new contract. The reigning back-to-back MVP had been heavily pursued by the Broncos, who were even said to be a finalist for Rodgers’ services.

Broncos wide receiver Jerry Jeudy appeared to react to the Rodgers news by tweeting an annoyed emoji.

Fortunately for Denver, they were able to swing a trade just a few hours later for longtime Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson. The blockbuster deal saw the Broncos give up several players and draft picks for the nine-time Pro Bowler Wilson.

Uncoincidentally, Jeudy’s mood suddenly brightened. He tweeted a smiling emoji and the message “Oh we lit” in apparent response to the Wilson news.

The 22-year-old Jeudy was limited to ten games last season with an ankle injury but figures to be Denver’s No. 1 receiver when healthy. While Jeudy won’t be catching passes from Rodgers, getting another upper-tier QB and Super Bowl champion in Wilson is a pretty darn good consolation. It will also probably make Jeudy a lot happier than he was with his previous quarterback situation.
