Jim Harbaugh is doing all he can to get the Los Angeles Chargers ready for the upcoming 2026 season, and that apparently includes joining his players for some on-field workouts.
In a video shared Tuesday by X user @lsbolts15, Harbaugh appeared to do push-ups and stretch alongside several players on the field. You can watch the video here.
Harbaugh is a former player himself, having starred as a quarterback for the Michigan Wolverines before playing for several teams in the NFL. At 62, he was also probably just trying to see whether his body could still handle some of the same drills as his players.
Tuesday was a big day for the Chargers’ training camp in San Diego, as it was the first time players were allowed to put on the pads in practice.
“It’s part of the process,” said Jim Harbaugh, via Eric Smith of the Chargers’ official website. “Feels good for players to have the armor on. It’s an important step we’re making today.”
The Chargers will practice again on Wednesday in San Diego before heading back to The Bolt, El Segundo, Calif., to continue their training camp.
Los Angeles is entering its third season under Harbaugh, and while the Chargers have reached the playoffs in each of his first two seasons as head coach, both postseason trips ended with wild-card round losses.
