Caps fan goes viral for ‘Fire Dan Snyder’ T-shirt
The Washington Capitals tying Game 5 of their playoff series with the Pittsburgh Penguins in the third period on Saturday wasn’t even the best part of Nicklas Backstrom’s goal. It was actually something else.
Backstrom scored to tie the game at 2. He celebrated with his teammates of course, and one of NBC camera angles showed one particular fan who caught everyone’s attention.
That fan was wearing a “Fire Dan Snyder” T-shirt, which is a reference to the despised Redskins owner. Many took note of the shirt.

Washington scored two more goals to take a 4-2 lead in the third. Maybe it was all the momentum from the shirt.
