Report: Chad Kelly was kicked out of Von Miller’s party prior to arrest
The Denver Broncos have decided to part ways with Chad Kelly in the wake of his arrest this week, and the quarterback reportedly was causing problems with the team before he was even taken into custody.
Broncos president of football operations John Elway announced on Wednesday that Kelly has been released. The 24-year-old was arrested early Tuesday morning for criminal trespassing, and James Palmer of NFL Network reports that the incident occurred after he was involved in multiple physical altercations at Von Miller’s Halloween party and was escorted out by security.

From what I’ve gathered, Broncos players are not happy with Chad Kelly. They’re upset he behaved to a level that required him to be escorted out of at a party that is meant to bring the team together and has been going on for a several years now.

Details about Kelly’s arrest are still somewhat unclear, but it sounds as if he entered someone’s residence when he was not welcome.
Miller’s party, which is an annual event, has also created somewhat of a public relations issue for the Broncos. Multiple players attended the bash, and two of them went viral after they flaunted their cocaine-themed costumes on social media.
Kelly, the last pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, was kicked off the team at Clemson before enrolling in a junior college and later going on to play at Ole Miss. He was not invited to the NFL combine due to off-field issues, so the Broncos knew the risk they were taking by giving him a shot.
