Report: Chargers, Seahawks showing interest in Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie
Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie is one of the biggest names remaining on the free agent market, and the veteran cornerback could be inching closer to signing with a team.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, Rodgers-Cromartie has been receiving the most interest from the Seattle Seahawks. However, the Los Angeles Chargers have also entered the mix now that starting cornerback Jason Verrett is out for the season with a torn Achilles.
One name to keep an eye on: Former #Giants CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie. The free agent is receiving the most interest from the #Seahawks, but the #Chargers are in the mix as well, given their recent CB injury.

Verrett, the Chargers’ first-round pick in 2014, has been plagued by injuries throughout his NFL career. Losing him will certainly sting, but it’s something L.A. has grown accustomed to after he tore his ACL in 2016 then missed nearly all of last season to undergo knee surgery.
Rodgers-Cromartie is 32, so it makes sense that teams haven’t been banging down the door to sign him. Still, he has missed only four games over the past six seasons and has 30 career interceptions. Teams looking for emergency defensive back help could do a lot worse.
