Report: Chiefs want to trade up for Henry Ruggs
The Kansas City Chiefs might just try to land every blazing fast wide receiver playing football today if the latest rumors are to be believed.
According to Peter King of Football Morning in America, the Chiefs are rumored to be interested in trading up for Alabama wide receiver Henry Ruggs III if he begins dropping in the draft. This would likely require Ruggs to fall into the 20s to even have a chance of happening.
The reason this is seen as plausible is that the top cornerbacks will be off the board by the time the Chiefs can conceivably pick, and Sammy Watkins is not seen as a long-term solution for Kansas City.
Ruggs ran a 4.27 in the 40-yard dash. They already have Tyreek Hill, who shows off his crazy speed on a regular basis. Good luck covering their receivers if this actually happens, as unlikely as it sounds.
