Cowboys to bring in kickers Kai Forbath, Nick Rose, Tristan Vizcaino for workouts
The Dallas Cowboys have been unsatisfied with the performance of kicker Brett Maher lately, so they’re exploring some other options.
The Cowboys are hosting three kickers for workouts this week, according to the team’s official website.
Nick Rose and Tristan Vizcaino, who both worked out for the team last week, will be back for a second workout. Kai Forbath, who was waived by the Patriots last week, will join them.
Forbath filled in for New England in their loss to the Houston Texans in Week 13. He made one field goal and went 1/2 on extra points. Forbath has spent time with Washington, New Orleans and Minnesota, and he kicked three games for the Jags last season.
Rose, 25, has kicked in 10 games during his career. All came in the 2017 season, split between Washington and the Chargers. He was 11/14 in his career on field goals and 23/26 on extra points.
Vizcaino, 23, kicked for Washington in college.
Maher has made all 36 of his extra points this season but is 20/30 on field goals and has missed four kicks in the last three games.
