Damien Williams gets taunting penalty for dropping ball in front of Brandon Dunn after touchdown
Damien Williams was called for a taunting penalty after scoring a touchdown in the third quarter of Saturday’s Divisional Round playoff game against the Houston Texans.
Williams powered a ball into the end zone for a 1-yard score to make it 34-24 Kansas City. Brandon Dunn tackled him after he was in the end zone, so Williams decided to drop the ball in front of Dunn after getting up.

Williams was called for the 15-yard penalty, which was assessed on the kickoff. KC kicked from their 20, giving Houston some favorable field position on the return.
Tony Romo and Jim Nantz said on CBS that this was definitely taunting, but it seemed pretty weak to me for a 15-yard penalty, especially when Dunn took him down after the Chiefs back had already scored.
