Davante Adams dealing with painful turf toe injury
The Green Bay Packers had trouble scoring at the end of their 34-27 loss Thursday night without Davante Adams, who has a toe injury.
Adams had 10 catches for a career-high 180 yards but left after catching a 13-yard pass in the red zone in the fourth quarter. He was tackled and grabbed his toe and was seen limping on the sideline afterwards.
Adams did not return to the game, and the Packers failed to convert at the goal line on their final two possessions, costing them the game.
Adams said he had a turf toe injury and that his toe was so painful he didn’t want to try putting his shoe on.
Davante Adams conducted his postgame interview holding his right shoe in his hand. He called it a turf toe injury and said it's so painful "I don't even want to try" to put his shoe on. https://t.co/I75YXXstVT

This is a serious concern for the Packers. They have nine days off before their October 6 game against the Dallas Cowboys and can’t afford to be without their best receiver.
Without Adams in the game, Rodgers looked to Jimmy Graham often at the goal line. They tried to make things happen but couldn’t. Adams has scored double-digit touchdowns in three straight seasons and is a huge weapon.
