Demaryius Thomas carted off with likely torn Achilles
Demaryius Thomas was seemingly improving by the week as he got more familiar with the Houston Texans’ offense, and the team will now be hoping for the best after he suffered what appeared to be a serious injury on Sunday.
During the second half of Houston’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles, Thomas went down with a non-contact injury as he was pushing off the line of scrimmage. He appeared to be in excruciating pain and was carted off the field.

The early word is that the star wide receiver tore his Achilles.
Injuries piling up for the #Texans. Demaryius Thomas latest to go down. About to be carted off the field. Can see how his foot is hanging … torn Achilles. That's awful.

With the Texans heading to the playoffs, that would be a major blow to their offense. Thomas has been a significant part of the game plan since Houston acquired him in a trade with the Denver Broncos. To make matters worse, DeAndre Hopkins has been battling an ankle injury that nearly forced him to miss Sunday’s game. The Texans need to somehow get healthy before the postseason.
