Rex Ryan, meet Dion Lewis.
Ryan and the Buffalo Bills did a bunch of trash talking this week leading up to their big game against the New England Patriots. That’s nothing new, but it was still surprising to hear Rex go out of his way to discredit what Pats running back Dion Lewis did against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 1.
How did Lewis respond? By scoring on a 6-yard touchdown run early in the first half.

Lewis also caught a 16-yard pass on the following possession and played every snap of New England’s first four drives.
When asked to clarify his comments about Lewis later in the week, Ryan doubled down.

Rex’s players will never stop saying stuff like this, but it looks pretty bad when a coach throws shade at a player and that player plays a major role in the game.
