DJ Fluker posts classy message after release from Seahawks
Veteran guard D.J. Fluker is on his way out in Seattle, and he broke the news himself.
Fluker announced Sunday that he has been released by the Seahawks, posting a classy farewell and clarifying that he is not hurt by the move.
Dear 12s,
I was released by the Seahawks today. Couple of things: I am not upset, or hurt. This is a business and one that I’ve been in for a while. I want to thank John and Pete for their very thoughtful calls.
Stay safe, be kind and I love y’all.
Thank you, Seattle.

The Seahawks picked guard Damien Lewis in the third round of the NFL Draft, which made Fluker expendable. This is a time of year when a lot of veterans can be moved on due to the incoming class of rookies, so it’s good to see Fluker taking this in stride.
Fluker spent two seasons with Seattle as a starter. He should be able to find a new job.
