Report: Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie wants to play in 2019

Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie abruptly retired less than halfway through the 2018 season, but the veteran cornerback has decided he wants to play football again.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Rodgers-Cromartie has officially unretired and been reinstated.

Rodgers-Cromartie will turn 33 before the start of next season, but Rapoport expects him to draw interest from teams. It took him quite a while to find work last offseason, so it would not be a surprise if the same is true heading into 2019.

A former first-round pick, Rodgers-Cromartie has 30 interceptions in his career and has made two Pro Bowls. He was once considered one of the better cornerbacks in the NFL, but he decided to call it quits with the Oakland Raiders off to a 1-6 start last season.
