Coach Sean Payton was a bit less bullish, but did suggest that Brees may be a game-time decision on Sunday.

This is the exact timetable that Brees had reportedly hoped to get back by. Amazingly, the Saints have won all five games that backup Teddy Bridgewater started, meaning they’re sitting pretty as Brees gets back to work. There’s definitely no guarantee that he starts Sunday, but if it’s up to him, he will be.
