Duke Johnson reportedly asks Browns for trade
Another disgruntled member of the Cleveland Browns appears to be on his way out of the organization.
According to Mary Kay Cabot of cleveland.com, running back Duke Johnson’s representatives have asked the Browns for a trade, and Johnson was absent from the team’s voluntary offseason program on Monday.
Johnson has also wiped his social media accounts of Browns-related pictures, another indication that he wants out.
Johnson’s fate appeared sealed when Cleveland signed controversial running back Kareem Hunt. That immediately made Johnson expendable, and a trade demand is only the next logical step in his exit from the organization. At least two teams could be interested in adding the running back, who has rushed for 1,286 yards and five touchdowns over the course of his four-year career with Cleveland.
