Eric Ebron gets engaged to girlfriend Brittany Rountree day of draft

Eric Ebron is about to become a first-round pick in the NFL Draft. He’s going to have riches, he’ll be a millionaire, and he’s going to have women all over him in whatever city he goes to. And he goes out and spoils all that by proposing to his girlfriend the day of the draft.

Go figure.

Yes, Ebron, a talented tight end out of North Carolina, proposed to girlfriend Brittany Rountree Thursday, the day of the draft. Ebron popped the question at the top of the Empire State Building, so there was definitely a romantic feel to it (even if it was in the middle of the day).

Rountree, by the way, is a junior guard on UNC’s women’s basketball team.

Ebron seems pretty stoked. Check out what he wrote as his Instagram caption: “She Said YES # WIFE # ENGAGED.”

If Rountree returns to school next year, they’ll likely be apart for the first year of their engagement. That won’t be easy, but we’re confident they’ll be fine. Congratulations to the two of them!
