Joe Buck used a description for Amon-Ra St. Brown on Monday night that fans disagreed with.
Buck was announcing the “Monday Night Football” game on ESPN between the Baltimore Ravens and Detroit Lions at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, Md. He was talking about St. Brown, who is one of the Lions’ best receivers.
Buck described St. Brown as the “anti-diva.”
“You could pencil him in for 100-plus catches a year. He does everything. He’s kind of the anti-diva. He blocks. He’s a great teammate,” Buck said of St. Brown.
Joe Buck!

“Anti -diva!”

Fans quickly took issue with that description of St-Brown, noting how petty the receiver can be.
Joe buck calling amon ra a non-diva…? wtf you smoking, Joe?

I know I just didn’t hear Joe Buck call Amon-Ra St Brown, the ‘anti-diva’

Not the podcaster who complains all the time
Did Joe Buck just call Amon-Ra anti-diva? The guy that memorized and brings up all the guys drafted ahead of him any chance he can get

Maybe anti-diva was overdoing it, but at least St. Brown doesn’t bring the same type of problems or disruptions as say Tyreek Hill or Stefon Diggs. And yes, just like one X user pointed out, St. Brown memorized the name of every receiver who was drafted ahead of him in 2021.
St. Brown has put together three straight seasons of at least 106 catches and 1,161 yards. He may not be an “anti-diva,” but he is less of a distraction than many other receivers who put up those kinds of stats.
