Frank Gore will reportedly sign one-year deal with Bills

The Buffalo Bills are going to have one of the oldest backfields in the NFL next season.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Bills have agreed to a one-year deal with free agent back Frank Gore. The contract is worth $2 million.

Gore will turn 36 before the start of the 2019 season, but he proved with the Miami Dolphins last year that he is still capable of producing. He rushed for 722 yards on 156 carries, and his 4.6 yards per carry were his highest mark since 2012.

As of now, it appears Gore will serve as the primary backup to LeSean McCoy, who will soon be 31. McCoy was benched for disciplinary reasons late last season, but the Bills insist he is part of their plans going forward. No running back duo in the NFL will have more tread on its tires than the Gore-McCoy combo.
