George Kittle delivered great quote after 49ers’ loss to Ravens

The San Francisco 49ers played one of their worst games of the season in Monday night’s loss to the Baltimore Ravens, but George Kittle insists he is not going to dwell on it.

Brock Purdy threw a career-worst four interceptions as San Francisco fell 33-19 at home. Some viewed the lopsided affair as a concern for the Niners, as they and the Ravens are considered by many to be the favorites to win their respective conferences. Kittle is not reading too much into it.

“That’s football,” Kittle said. “Sometimes the ball doesn’t bounce your way. What are you going to do? Are you going to dwell on it or move on and go try and kick someone else’s a–?”

Kittle was one of the lone bright spots for the 49ers, as he led all pass-catchers with 7 receptions for 126 yards. The big game was not nearly enough, but San Francisco should be fine if his mentality is shared throughout the locker room.

The Niners have already clinched the NFC West and are still in the hunt for a bye. Aside from having a major impact on the MVP race, Monday night’s game should not change all that much for them.

If anything, Kyle Shanahan’s team should be more motivated after putting up a dud against an elite opponent. Kittle’s mindset reflects that.
