Giants RB Tyrone Tracy in tears after handing Panthers an OT win
The New York Giants had a chance to pull off an impressive comeback win over the Carolina Panthers on Sunday, but rookie running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. handed the game away with a brutal mistake.
Despite looking horrible for most of the game, the Giants managed to force overtime against the Panthers at Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany. Daniel Jones overcame a fourth-quarter interception to lead a field goal drive and tie the game 17-17 with just 5 seconds left.
The Giants had all the momentum heading into OT and won the coin toss. Tracy then fumbled on 1st-and-10 and handed the ball to the Panthers in field-goal range.

After Eddy Pineiro converted a 36-yard field goal to win the game for the Panthers, Tracy was shown crying on the bench. A member of the Giants’ staff came over and put a towel over the former Purdue star’s head.

Tracy rushed for 103 yards and a touchdown in the game. He got the Giants on the board with a 32-yard touchdown run in the third quarter, but that quickly became a distant memory after his costly overtime fumble.
