Vikings’ Harrison Smith mocks Aaron Rodgers with sack celebration
Harrison Smith sacked Aaron Rodgers on Sunday, and the Minnesota Vikings safety celebrated by mocking his longtime rival.
Smith came unblocked off the edge on a blitz late in the first half of Minnesota’s game against the New York Jets at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, England. Smith had a clear path to Rodgers, who never saw the hit coming.
After Smith put the big hit on Rodgers, the 35-year-old defensive back got up and did Rodgers’ famous “discount double check” belt move.

Rodgers’ championship belt celebration gained popularity after it was featured in State Farm Insurance commercials. The quarterback reportedly no longer has an endorsement deal with State Farm, which might be why we have not seen the belt celebration as much.
Smith has played for the Vikings since 2012, so he is quite familiar with Rodgers from the latter’s time with the Green Bay Packers. Sunday marked the 21st time Harrison and Rodgers faced one another.
Between Smith’s taunt and the ruthless memes on social media, Rodgers had a first half to forget in London.
