Hue Jackson: Johnny Manziel’s behavior ‘will not be tolerated’
Cleveland Browns head coach Hue Jackson made it quite clear on Wednesday that Johnny Manziel is not going to be a part of his football team in 2016.
While speaking with reporters at the NFL Scouting Combine, Jackson said the Browns are not going to tolerate the type of behavior Manziel has engaged in recently.
“That behavior will not be tolerated as we move forward,” Jackson said, according to Mike Garafolo of FOX Sports. “Our organization is going to take a stand.”
Jackson added that Manziel’s status with the team will be addressed in the near future, which almost certainly means the Browns are waiting until the start of the new league year so they have enough salary cap space to part ways with the 24-year-old.
The stories surrounding Manziel get worse and worse by the day. He has been accused of rupturing his ex-girlfriend’s ear drum during their latest altercation, and we recently heard rumors that he hosted some wild parties in Cabo the week after.
On Tuesday, Manziel returned to Twitter with an interesting retweet. Even if he is willing to take next to nothing to sign with another team this offseason, that team will be taking a major risk.
