Jamal Adams raises eyebrows with tweet signaling goodbye to Jets teammate
Jamal Adams continues to signal that is moving on from the New York Jets.
The safety sent a tweet on Monday in response to fellow Jets DB Marcus Maye. Adams said in his tweet that he would “miss” playing alongside Maye.
Brotha just keep being u. Show the world why you're the best FS in the Game. U deserve everything coming your way. I'ma miss balling with u the most. Believe that!
Love you forever brotha https://t.co/rD4bHvFPp3— Jamal Adams (@Prez) June 22, 2020
Last week, a report said Adams requested a trade from the Jets.
Adams wants a long-term extension from the Jets, which they have been unwilling to give him so far. Adams is under contract with the AFC East squad for the next two seasons but is seeking compensation in line with his performance as a two-time Pro Bowler.
Adams, 24, had 75 tackles, an interception and 6.5 sacks last season. Here are the teams on his list of preferred trade destinations.
