Report: James Conner unlikely to return against Patriots
The Pittsburgh Steelers are reportedly set to be without running back James Conner for a second consecutive game due to an ankle injury.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com, Conner is unlikely to play Sunday against the New England Patriots, though he appears to be in better shape for next week.
On our NFL GameDay Kickoff show: #Steelers RB James Conner, listed as questionable with an ankle injury, is unlikely to play vs. the #Patriots, source said. He should be good to go Week 16, though.

While it’s good news that Conner is apparently set to miss only one more game, it’s a bad game to miss. The Steelers have lost three in a row and would have preferred to be at full strength with the Patriots coming to town. His injury was not thought to be serious initially, but it became clear that he had a serious ankle issue that looks set to cost him two key games, the first of which Pittsburgh lost.
