The Washington Redskins are locked in a contract dispute with tackle Trent Williams, but they denied that he’s likely to be traded because of it.
Williams did not report to training camp as he’s seeking a new contract from the Redskins. It has sparked some speculation that Washington may look to trade the star offensive lineman, but on Saturday, coach Jay Gruden said he doubted that would happen.
Jay Gruden said on any trade regarding Trent Williams: "I would seriously doubt that."

Reports earlier in the week indicated that the team was shopping Williams, but this appears to be a refutation of that. On the other hand, some reports indicate that the situation goes far beyond financial matters, and if that’s true, Washington may have no choice but to find Williams a new home before the season starts.
