Cleveland Browns wide receiver Jerry Jeudy addressed a video that showed him seemingly endorsing Deshaun Watson as the team’s starting quarterback.
The video shows Jeudy on TikTok, with one user leaving a comment asking who he would prefer to see starting at quarterback for the Browns. At the same time, Jeudy is seen holding up four fingers, which happens to be Deshaun Watson’s jersey number.

Jeudy claimed the clip was edited in a misleading way and denied that he was endorsing either Watson or Shedeur Sanders.
“I don’t speak on decisions that aren’t mine to make,” Jeudy wrote. “I support my teammates/Brothers, I do my job, and control what I can control. Let’s stop creating narrative that aren’t there for likes and clicks.”
I don’t speak on decisions that aren’t mine to make. I support my teammates/Brothers, I do my job, and control what I can control. Let’s stop creating narrative that aren’t there for likes and clicks. I bet this won’t go viral because it’s too positive/real for y’all 💯.

There are, admittedly, some reasons to think Jeudy might prefer Watson to Sanders. When Sanders was starting for Cleveland last year, he and Jeudy did not appear to be on the same page all the time.
The camp battle between Watson and Sanders promises to be competitive. There is reason to believe, however, that one might already have the advantage over the other as training camp gets underway.
