John Elway: Broncos did not discuss Tony Romo at owners meetings
The Denver Broncos still aren’t trading for Tony Romo.
Broncos general manager John Elway once again tried to make that clear, saying that despite spending the week at the NFL owners meetings in the presence of Jerry Jones, the topic of Romo was never even discussed.
“We’ve been here all week and his name never came up,” Elway told Mike Klis of 9News at the meetings.
And that, once again, is that. The Broncos have made fairly clear that they’re not interested in trading for Romo, and would only take a look at him if he were released. Dallas is still stubbornly trying to trade him, so we’ll see when they finally give up and drop that charade.
