John Harbaugh weighs in on whether brother Jim will leave Michigan
Baltimore Ravens coach John Harbaugh fielded a question Thursday regarding his brother Jim, who is a candidate for NFL head coaching jobs fresh off a national title at Michigan.
John Harbaugh was asked what the chances were of his brother leaving the Wolverines to take an NFL job, and he certainly left the door open for his younger brother to make a return to the professional game.

“Well, I mean, I don’t know what he’s going to do,” John Harbaugh told reporters. “I’m not sure what Jim’s plans are. Whatever he does will be what’s best for his family. I know Michigan has been a joy for him to go back to his alma mater. His family loves it there, the players love him, he loves the players, the coaches, the fanbase. I don’t know which direction it’s going to go. I would think the president and the board of trustees would be doing everything they can to try and keep them. That would be priority No. 1 if I was them.
“He loves Michigan, but he loves the NFL too, so we’ll have to see.”
Jim Harbaugh’s future remains up in the air. He has already spoken to NFL teams and appears to be serious about potentially pursuing the opportunity. On the other hand, he has kept the door open with Michigan as well.
If John does not even know what Jim is going to do, it’s safe to say the decision has not been made. That said, all signs suggest Jim has serious interest in returning to the NFL.
