Johnny Manziel says he is ‘hashing it out’ with rental car owner

Johnny Manziel

Johnny Manziel does not deny that he owes a rental car company a significant amount of money for an accident that took place last month, but he also does not appreciate the way the owner of said company is going about trying to get paid.

Manziel was asked over the weekend about an incident in which he was aggressively approached by Wayne Schneider, the owner of Precision Concierge rental car company.

“We’re hashing it out, man,” Manziel told SplashNewsOnline.com, via TMZ. “He shouldn’t have came at me that way, though.”

When the photographer noted that the confrontation looked like a setup, Manziel enthusiastically agreed. And it’s hard not to.

As we previously showed you, Schneider somehow tracked Manziel down in New York City and and had several cars stop the SUV Manziel was riding in from pulling away. Schneider then yelled at the driver of the car and tried to get Manziel to come out and talk to him, but the NFL free agent stayed put. You can see the video here.

This all stems from an incident in April in which Manziel’s friend crashed a Mercedes that Manziel was a passenger in and left it totaled. The two fled the scene but eventually returned, and Manziel has supposedly promised Schneider he will replace the $90,000 car.

Rumors surfaced over the holiday weekend that Manziel had gone missing after he reportedly stood his own family up. However, his rep says plenty of people have had contact with Manziel.
