Johnny Manziel apparently is pretty serious about cleaning up his act.
Manziel’s publicist announced Monday that the quarterback checked into rehab last week to address his issues and attempt to rediscover his value system.
Manziel voluntarily checked into rehab according to ESPN. They also add in a significant detail that shows how serious he is about changing his ways: he reportedly turned down a six-figure offer from a hotel/casino to host a Super Bowl party in Las Vegas.
In the past, Manziel was whisking away to Vegas to party whenever possible. Hosting a Super Bowl party in Vegas seems like his deal. He even might have been photographed allegedly preparing to do drugs in a bathroom. But now it looks like he is trying to change.
Towards the end of last season Manziel said he was serious about trying to win the Browns’ quarterback job. Now it’s time for his actions to match his words.
