Jonas Gray sent home from practice for being late
New England Patriots running back Jonas Gray did not practice on Friday after he was sent home from the team facility for being late.
According to Mike Reiss of ESPN Boston.com, Gray had an issue with his alarm, which he sets on his cell phone.
One person explained the situation this way to me: Alarm set on phone, phone battery dies overnight, alarm doesn't go off at scheduled time.

How low of a battery are we talking here? If your battery was that low, wouldn’t you be sure to plug your phone in before going to sleep?
Gray, an undrafted rookie out of Notre Dame, carried the Patriots to a victory over the Indianapolis Colts last Sunday with 201 yards and four rushing touchdowns on a whopping 37 carries. It is unclear if his alarm mishap will cost him playing time this weekend against the Detroit Lions.
As we all know, Bill Belichick does not play favorites. Earlier this year, Darrelle Revis was sent home from practice after he, too, showed up late. Revis later drove back to the facility to apologize to Belichick and did not miss any playing time.
Moral of the story — don’t break The Hoodie’s rules.
