Report: Kellen Moore leaning towards remaining with Cowboys as OC
Mike McCarthy already has one coordinator set up on his Dallas Cowboys staff. He may have a second before long.
NFL Media’s Mike Garafolo reported on Tuesday that Kellen Moore is leaning towards remaining with the Cowboys. Garafolo says the Cowboys are hoping Moore will remain on staff.
#Cowboys OC Kellen Moore is leaning toward remaining with the team under Mike McCarthy, sources tell me and @RapSheet. Dallas is pushing hard to retain him and, while no final decision has been made, the expectation is he’ll stay.

Moore, 31, played with the Cowboys from 2015-2017 before joining them as a coach. He was a quarterbacks coach in 2018 and their offensive coordinator this season. The Cowboys ranked first in offensive yards and sixth in points scored this season, both of which speak well to Moore.
McCarthy already hired Mike Nolan as his defensive coordinator and was said to have liked Moore. Being able to retain Moore would be a nice coup.
