Kwon Alexander disputes reporter’s story about Tampa Bay departure
With the so-called legal tampering period of NFL free agency underway, a lot of rumors and stories get reported that may not really turn out to be true. It’s not every day, however, that players bother to openly refute them.
NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reported on Monday that Tampa Bay Buccaneers linebacker Kwon Alexander had already texted goodbye to several of his teammates as he moves toward a departure in free agency. Alexander seemed to indicate that it didn’t even happen in response.
#Buccaneers LB Kwon Alexander texted a group of his Tampa teammates a short while ago telling them he's going to miss them, source says. We'll see where he winds up but he's obviously not expecting it to be Tampa. Deal expected to be in the $12m/$13m per year range.

Who told ya that?

Hey, it could be read as a non-denial. Maybe Alexander just wants to know who’s snitching on his text conversations.
Garofolo, to his credit, took it in stride.
Never mind that. How are my numbers??

In general, players aren’t shy about casting doubt on this sort of thing. It’s still rather funny to see Alexander on Twitter doing this, however.
