La’el Collins had awesome promise for Joe Burrow after signing with Bengals
The Cincinnati Bengals made a huge move to bolster their offensive line on Sunday, and their new addition is already telling Joe Burrow what he wants to hear.
Former Dallas Cowboys offensive tackle La’el Collins has agreed to a deal with the Bengals. After the news broke, Collins shared the awesome message he delivered to Burrow.
Just spoke with La'el Collins who told me the first thing he said to Joe Burrow: "Your new bodyguard is in town, no one's touching you."

Burrow was sacked 51 times last season, which was more than any other quarterback in the NFL. The Bengals were in desperate need of experienced linemen who can protect their franchise cornerstone, and Collins should be able to do exactly that.
Collins visited the Bengals over the weekend and was originally supposed to take other free agent visits this week. Burrow obviously did not want that to happen. Albert Breer of The MMQB says Burrow personally hosted Collins at his house on Friday night.
To punctuate the Bengals' recruiting pitch, Joe Burrow had La'El Collins over to his house on Friday night, along with Ted Karras, Alex Cappa and Hayden Hurst, and their wives/girlfriends, I'm told.
So Burrow's a pretty good closer on multiple fronts for Cincinnati.

Collins is one of the best tackles in the NFL when healthy. We’d be shocked if he doesn’t help bring Burrow’s sack numbers down next season.
