LeGarrette Blount takes shot at Jeff Fisher for not knowing Patriots RBs

Jeff Fisher Rams

The Los Angeles Rams had no chance of beating the New England Patriots on Sunday with or without Jeff Fisher being more familiar with his opponent, but that didn’t stop LeGarrette Blount from rubbing Fisher’s nose in it.

After he carried the ball 18 times for 88 yards and a touchdown in his team’s 26-10 win, Blount took a swipe at Fisher over the coach not knowing the personnel in New England’s backfield.

“He already knew my name,” Blount said, per Jeff Howe of the Boston Herald. “I think he knows James (White) and Dion (Lewis) now for sure, though.”

During the week leading up to the game, Fisher praised Blount and spoke about how he signed him as an undrafted free agent back when Fisher was still coaching the Tennessee Titans. For that reason, Fisher is familiar with Blount. However, the Rams coach mentioned two people named Danny and Brandon when speaking about the rest of the Patriots’ running backs. Who the heck are they?

Danny Amendola is a wide receiver, though the Rams insist he was one of the people Fisher was referring to. Brandon Bolden is primarily a special teamer who has just one carry on the season. Most people think Fisher was referring to Danny Woodhead, who played for the Patriots four years ago and did his part to mock Fisher with this tweet.

Better luck next time, coach.
