Leonard Fournette confirms he won grievance against Tom Coughlin, Jaguars
The Jacksonville Jaguars appear to have a grievance problem, and one of their key players is among those who has successfully won against them in arbitration.
Running back Leonard Fournette confirmed Wednesday that he had won a grievance over a $99,000 fine team vice president Tom Coughlin levied against him for sitting on the bench while inactive in the final game of the 2018 season.

The common issue with things like this really seems to be Coughlin. His reputation as a strict disciplinarian precedes him, and he really let Fournette have it publicly at the time of the incident. It’s becoming clear, though, that his attitude might be outdated in the NFL. The NFLPA is openly suggesting that players might want to think twice before signing with Jacksonville, and a lot of that is down to Coughlin’s discipline and the grievances that have been filed against the organization. No wonder the Jaguars appear ready to move on from him at the end of the season.
