Le’Veon Bell shares classy message he got from James Conner after signing with Jets
Le’Veon Bell angered many fans and teammates last season when he chose to sit out the entire year in protest of his contract situation, but James Conner apparently was not one of them.
Conner, who took over as Pittsburgh’s starting running back in Bell’s absence, sent Bell a classy message this offseason congratulating the fellow running back on his massive contract with the New York Jets. Bell wanted to give Conner credit for the gesture, so he shared a screenshot on social media Monday.
I usually don’t post private conversations…but this txt just hit me so differently…I love youu to death bro @JamesConner_ #AllPositiveVibes pic.twitter.com/Bzwp9g5LO3

You could make the argument that Bell’s holdout was the best thing that could have happened to Conner’s career, so it’s no surprise the former Pitt Panthers star is not holding any type of grudge. Conner racked up nearly 1,500 yards from scrimmage and scored 13 total touchdowns in 13 total games and proved he is capable of being the No. 1 back in Pittsburgh.
Judging by the remarks some of Bell’s other former teammates made about him last season, it seems safe to assume not everyone in Pittsburgh’s locker room shares the same warm feelings for the Jets newest star.
