Atlanta Falcons punter Matt Bosher had the hit of the day Sunday, and it appears that the NFL noticed.
Bosher, who handles kickoffs for the Falcons, leveled Kenjon Barner of the Carolina Panthers during a kick return on Sunday, gaining widespread attention. That attention apparently came from the league, too, as Bosher said he was drug tested on Monday.
Bosher could be joking, but he doesn’t really have any reason to be. Plus, we already know that sometimes the league’s random drug testing doesn’t seem all that random. Bosher will probably take it. It’s not often a kicker gets to deliver a hit like that.
