Mike Mularkey refutes NFL Network report about Marcus Mariota injury timetable
Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Mularkey is lashing out at the dishonest fake news media … or something like that.
After the Titans lost to the Miami Dolphins on Sunday without starting QB Marcus Mariota, Mularkey called out NFL Network by name over a report earlier in the day that suggested Mariota could miss two-to-four weeks of action. Here is what he said, per Jason Wolf of USA TODAY:
"You can listen to @nflnetwork or you can listen to me." – Mularkey says Mariota is day to day, not 2-4-week injury. #Titans

The former Heisman winner Mariota left last week’s loss to the Houston Texans with a hamstring injury and had to sit out this week against Miami. Backup QB Matt Cassel threw for just 141 yards and a touchdown with a lost fumble, so let’s hope for his own sake that Mularkey, who has had to do a lot of explaining lately when it comes to quarterbacks, is on the money here.
