Mike Mularkey explains why Titans did not consider Colin Kaepernick
Another backup quarterback job has been filled by someone other than Colin Kaepernick, and questions are being asked.
With Marcus Mariota dealing with a hamstring injury, the Tennessee Titans elected to sign veteran Brandon Weeden as cover instead of the likes of Kaepernick. Given his decision to kneel during the national anthem, many fans think his lack of employment is related to that.
Titans coach Mike Mularkey said the decision ultimately came down to Kaepernick’s fit in the system.
Mularkey said he was not aware of #Titans considering Kaepernick because of his unfamiliarity with his system.

The Titans reportedly looked at a number of quarterbacks, but Kaepernick was never on their radar. Mularkey’s explanation will do little to convince those who firmly believe he is being blackballed because of his social activism.
