Mike Wallace takes parting shot at Teddy Bridgewater
Mike Wallace left Minnesota for Baltimore and thinks big things are in store, mostly because he’ll have a better quarterback.
The wide receiver signed with the Ravens on Tuesday and took a parting shot at Teddy Bridgewater, his quarterback with the Vikings.
“When this process started, I knew that I wasn’t going back to Minnesota,” Wallace said, according to the Baltimore Sun. “I was like, ‘I need a good quarterback.’ I need a quarterback who I know is proven and can get things done.”
Wallace really harped on that point Tuesday:
Wallace: "You have a quarterback that can really sling the ball. That's what I need."

Wallace played just one season with the Vikings and caught 39 passes for a career-low 473 yards and two touchdowns. It’s not a surprise that they released him, nor is it a surprise he wanted to go somewhere he felt he could be more productive.
Wallace recalled the deep balls Torrey Smith used to catch from Joe Flacco as something he envisioned for himself moving forward. Though he became a problem for the Dolphins, Wallace actually was viewed as a good teammate in Minnesota. The Ravens are hoping he will continue that trend with them.
