NBA veteran Pat Connaughton may want to stick to basketball rather than try his luck again in fantasy football.
The Charlotte Hornets guard stood out despite not taking the court during their Monday game against the New Orleans Pelicans at Spectrum Center in Charlotte, N.C. Connaughton was hard to miss on the sidelines, as he was rocking a bright blonde hairdo on the Hornets’ bench.

Hornets announcer Eric Collins stated that Connaughton, a natural brunette, had lost a bet that led to him getting his hair dyed. Hornets rookie Kon Knueppel later revealed that Pat was serving his sentence for finishing last in the team’s fantasy football league.
The Hornets later bought into the stunt. The team posted a photo of Connaughton after the game with the caption: “1-0 with blonde pat.”

Fantasy football season ended in December for most folks, which means Connaughton may have been trying to dodge the punishment for over a month now.
We’ve seen some creative fantasy football punishments among fans go viral over the years. It’s nice to see even millionaire NBA hoopers aren’t immune to taking some fantasy football-related embarrassment just like the rest of us.
