Tom Brady is apparently not a good enough quarterback to be featured in a promotional tweet for Super Bowl 50.
On Sunday night, the official Twitter account of the NFL asked fans which two teams they thought would be playing for the Lombardi Trophy in San Francisco come February. The photo used featured seven quarterbacks, but not the defending champion.
Perhaps further proving that the NFL intentionally left Brady out, the tweet was later deleted.
There’s literally a zero percent chance Brady would have been excluded from that promo if not for Deflategate. For evidence of that, look no further than the invitation the league sent Brady about four months ago. And Carson Palmer over Brady? Come on.
Shots have been exchanged on social media between the Patriots and the league throughout the Deflategate saga. Like it or not, that’s the world we currently live in.
