NFL referee gets bonked in head by kick in Chiefs-Panthers game
One NFL referee may wake up on Monday morning with a bit of a headache.
Official Dyrol Prioleau was in the wrong place at the wrong time during Sunday’s game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Carolina Panthers. Prioleau, a field judge, was stationed in the back of the end zone on a point-after try by Kansas City’s Spencer Schrader in the first quarter. The PAT was good … but not so much for Prioleau.
As he was giving the signal for a made PAT, the football came down and hit Prioleau right on top of the ol’ noggin. Here is the video in which you can see Prioleau (No. 109) taking the dome shot.

At least the football lost a bit of steam there because it hit the netting first. But that still had to be the most “Three Stooges”-esque moment of Prioleau’s officiating career. Usually those kinds of mishaps only happen to college football referees.
