NY Post writer takes harsh shot at Jason Pierre-Paul
Jason Pierre-Paul is never going to escape jokes about his infamous fireworks mishap, and one NFL writer gave us a cruel reminder of that over the weekend.
In his second mock draft writeup for the 2016 NFL Draft, Steve Serby of the New York Post suggested the Giants should select Oklahoma State defensive end Emmanuel Ogbah at No. 10 overall. He justified the choice with a pretty brutal Pierre-Paul zinger.
“Best Nigerian pass rusher available, a 6-foot-4, 275-pounder with long arms and 10 fingers,” Selby wrote.
Burn.
Pierre-Paul clearly was not the same player when he returned from having several procedures on his hand. He had trouble tackling opponents with one hand in a cast (video here) and recorded just one sack in eight games. That certainly had plenty to do with him having only nine fingers.
Pierre-Paul has cracked some hilarious jokes at his own expense, but he probably won’t appreciate a writer suggesting the Giants should replace him.
