Packers reportedly interviewing Mike Pettine for defensive coordinator job
Mike Pettine is a name we have not heard mentioned in NFL circles for a while now, but the former Cleveland Browns head coach is reportedly a candidate to become the next defensive coordinator of the Green Bay Packers.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Pettine will interview with the Packers on Tuesday.
Former Browns’ HC Mike Pettine is scheduled to interview for Packers’ defensive coordinator job Tuesday, per league source.

Pettine last coached in the NFL in 2015. He spent two full seasons with the Browns and was actually quite successful with them all things considered, compiling an overall record of 10-22. The team has won just one game since he left, so Pettine’s teams were actually decent by Browns standards.
The Packers have already been blocked from interviewing one potential DC candidate, so Pettine could be one of their backup plans.
