Patrick Mahomes was fed up after another Kadarius Toney blunder

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes was not happy Sunday after another mistake from wide receiver Kadarius Toney.

The Chiefs led the New England Patriots 27-10 with just over 9 minutes left in their Week 15 contest at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass.

Mahomes and the Chiefs had 1st-and-10 from their own 24-yard line after forcing the Patriots into their fifth consecutive empty trip since halftime.

Mahomes threw it over the middle of the field to an open Toney, who ran a slant route that appeared destined to generate a first down. Instead, Toney bobbled the ball long enough for Patriots linebacker Jahlani Tavai to intercept the pass (video here).

Mahomes was furious about Toney’s mistake as the Chiefs star took a seat on the sideline.

“Every f—ing game, man,” Mahomes appeared to have said.

You’d probably be hard-pressed to find an angrier QB with his team up by three scores in the fourth quarter. The turnover was Mahomes’ second interception of the night.

The Patriots capitalized on the interception by scoring a touchdown to cut the deficit to 10 with just over 8 minutes left. Fortunately for Toney, there was no Miami Dolphins-level choke job looming as the Chiefs held on for a 27-17 win.

Mahomes went 27/37 for 305 yards with 2 touchdowns and 2 interceptions. Toney had just 2 catches for 5 yards — the lowest total Sunday among the 9 Chiefs receivers who caught at least 1 pass.

Mahomes probably isn’t going to apologize to Toney for the emotional outburst like he did for Josh Allen last week.
